With introduction of LED technology, the number of options for bright and versatile camp lights has exploded. There is a vast variety of different illumination tools available, from heavy duty lanterns to waterproof flashlights and light and compact headlamps. Solar-powered lamps are very useful on extended outdoor trips to remote locations where it would be impossible to recharge batteries or find spare ones.  

The true outdoorsmen know to appreciate a dependable camping lantern that will make any task easier in the dark, form pitching a tent, to cooking dinner or simply navigating around campsite. Setting up few well-placed LED lights around the camping ground can be enough to prevent you tripping over the stakes and guy ropes.

If you only camp in the summer, when the sun sets late, you will be fine with one of two lights in addition to your campfire. Moving around campsite and getting to camp is tricky when the sun goes down. Headlamp is an excellent choice when you need some light, but you also need your hands free for taking stuff out from your car or setting up a nice camp space. It is also very lightweight and compact, which is a big plus if you have to carry your gear around on your back.

Handheld lamps come in a variety of sizes and output ranges. Some models even have several setups so you can get as little or as much light as you need. And it is almost unbelievable how much lumens a little flashlight can put out, some of the tactical torches on the market are brighter than vehicle headlights. There is an entire line of lamps for hunters, that offer different colors like red, blue, or green that will allow you to see, navigate, or signal to others without scaring game.
